Clinging to a 1-0 lead against Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros in the sixth inning of Game 5 of the ALCS, the Boston Red Sox were looking for insurance. They got it off the bat of Rafael Devers.
With Ian Kinsler and Mitch Moreland on first and third, Devers launched a high fly ball to deep left field. It snuck into the corner Houston’s famed Crawford boxes for a three-run home run.
