Tua Tagovailoa says he’s 100 percent healthy, ‘excited’ for road trip to Death Valley

A week off apparently did Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa some good. He told reporters on Monday that his sprained knee is 100 percent healthy ahead of his coming road battle against LSU in Death Valley.

Tagovailoa has been playing through the balky knee for a few weeks now. And while it’s clearly hobbled him a bit, the injury hasn’t stopped him from continuing to put up jaw-dropping numbers while making plays only he could make.

This Saturday’s clash in Baton Rouge pits two of the nation’s No. 1 and No. 4 team against one another. With, of course, the added element of intrigue that whichever team wins will be in first place in the SEC West.

It’s Tagovailoa’s first time playing in Death Valley, and he’s extremely pumped up for the challenge.

“I heard it’s really loud over there,” Tagovailoa said Monday, per Saturday Down South. “I heard that it’s a really hostile environment that we’re going to. I thought Tennessee was very loud. From all the guys who played there in previous years, they said it’s really, really loud. I’m excited.”

If LSU does figure out a way to slow down the juggernaut ‘Bama offense, then it has a chance to knock off the champs. If not, then it’s not going to stay very loud in Tiger Stadium, because Tagovailoa and Co. have a habit of putting a staggering amount of points on the board well before halftime.

This is the biggest game of Week 10, and we cannot wait to see what happens.
