Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took to the media on Tuesday following practice ahead of his team’s upcoming preseason game against the Golden State Warriors in Las Vegas.
The questions involved a plethora of topics, including his unlikely friendship with rival Kevin Durant as well as any advice he might have for teammate Lonzo Ball.
But in typical James fashion, he proved to be a quote machine. When talking about pop culture and what his younger teammates are into, James noted that it’s pretty much the same thing as his 11 and 14 years old sons, LeBron Jr. and Bryce. That’s when the conversation turned hilarious.

“I got very mature 14 and 11 year olds,” James said. “My 14 and 11 year olds drink wine. That’s how mature they are. They’ll be driving next week, too.”
We’re not here to alert the authorities. But it’s probably not a great thing for James to admit his children drink wine before talking about them getting behind the wheel.
Joking aside, it seems that James himself is in great spirits as he heads into his regular season debut with the Lakers next week. Let’s just hope his sons haven’t found a way to cork LeBron’s expensive wine. That wouldn’t be good for anyone involved.
