Jimmy Garoppolo came into the 2018 season with a great deal of buzz. But the San Francisco 49ers quarterback threw his first pick-six before his first touchdown.
One play after narrowly missing a long pass to Greg Kittle, Garoppolo was intercepted by Minnesota Vikings defensive back Mike Hughes. Hughes then cruised into the end zone for a touchdown.

A lot went wrong for the 49ers on that play.
Garoppolo’s pass was terrible. But receiver Kendrick Bourne might have been able to break the play up or at least make a tackle it up if he had stayed on his feet.
It was the first interception and touchdown in the young career of Hughes.
