There are impact freshmen and then there’s Penn State Nittany Lions wide receiver KJ Hamler. The Nittany Lions redshirt freshman receiver eviscerated Ohio State’s defense for a 93-yard score Saturday night.

After the Nittany Lions were pinned down inside their 10-yard line, they called upon Hamler to drop the hammer to help move the chains. Instead, Hamler turned a short reception into a game-changing touchdown.

Hamler’s 93-yard score gave the Nittany Lions a two-score lead in a moment when they needed a huge boost of momentum.

The freshman receiver is clearly a big-play threat and one that makes Penn State a serious threat against any opponent it faces.
