Juan Soto wasn’t even called up to the majors until late May. Since he burst onto the scene with a mammoth home run the first time he registered a hit, this young man has done nothing but continue to wow.
On Friday night against the Atlanta Braves, he hit his 20th home run of the season, moving him into third place on the all-time teenage home run list.
#Nationals Juan Soto has 20 homers.
Most homers as a teen:
Tony Conigliaro – 24
Bryce Harper – 22
Juan Soto – 20*
Mel Ott – 19
Ken Griffey Jr. – 16
Phil Cavarretta – 14
Mickey Mantle – 13
Ed Kranepool – 12
Robin Yount – 11
Beltre/Killebrew – 8*19 years old for rest of season

He’s also doing things we’ve never before seen from a player his age.
Juan Soto with a loud opposite-field homer. He is the only 19-year-old in @MLB history with 20 HR and an OPS of .900 or better. @MLBNetwork @Nationals

Take a look at blast No. 20 on the season, an opposite-field slam that gave the Braves a 5-2 lead in this game.
