Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has not played a single NFL snap since the start of the 2016 season. He currently has a cushy gig as an in-game analyst for CBS Sports.
Now, 38 years old, why would Romo even consider a comeback to the gridiron?
Appearing on the “Ben and Skin Show” on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Wednesday, Romo indicated that he’s healthy. He also wouldn’t completely rule out a return to the NFL.
“I probably played much more hurt back in ’13 or ’14 then I would be now. … Yeah, I’m healthy enough,” Romo said. “That wouldn’t be an issue at all. That would be the least of my thoughts when it came to a decision like that.”
“A decision like that?” Has Romo been thinking about a comeback? We can’t be too sure. But when asked if he’s considered a return, Romo sidestepped the question by calling the co-hosts “silly.”
It’s certainly something to look at. Though, we would be hard-pressed to believe that Romo would give up his CBS gig in an attempt to return to the NFL.
