Freeman suffered the knee injury in Atlanta’s opening game on Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles. While it was believed to be a minor injury at the time, the 26-year-old was unable to practice this week.
Now with Freeman sidelined, running back Tevin Coleman will step into a featured role. An impending free agent, this could be a great opportunity for Coleman to prove himself as a capable starting running back.
