Broncos rookie Phillip Lindsay ejected for throwing punch

Denver Broncos rookie running back Phillip Lindsay has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the new NFL season, but he was ejected on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

Lindsay was ejected for “throwing a punch.” We frame it that way because that description is perhaps debatable, as it sure looked like he was trying to just get a guy off him on this play after Terrell Suggs had forced a fumble.

Before the ejection, Lindsay had 20 yards on four carries.
