Hue Jackson on Josh Gordon: He will practice ‘very soon’

Having already been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, there’s a chance the Cleveland Browns could see Josh Gordon in action for their preseason finale next week.

In order for that to happen, Gordon would have to actually return to the practice field after missing training camp. The embattled young receiver was away from the summer session attending to personal issues.

Now, according to head coach Hue Jackson, Gordon will return to practice “very soon.”

The 27-year-old pass catcher has not yet been cleared to practice since announcing his return to the team. That would certainly be the first step to him playing in a game of any kind.

Gordon has suited up in a total of 10 games since the end of the 2013 season due to numerous suspensions under the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Seemingly clean, he’s looking to resurrect a once budding career.
