Former NFLer Brandon Browner charged with attempted murder

Former Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner is in a world of trouble following an incident in Southern California this past weekend in which Browner was initially charged with kidnapping and false imprisonment, among other serious crimes.

As we reported on Sunday, Browner is alleged to have broken into the home of his ex-girlfriend in La Verne before refusing to let her leave the residence, stealing a $20,000 Rolex and threatening to kill the woman.

It’s the very same woman that had filed a restraining order against him previously (more on all that here).

In addition to the bevy of charges Browner was facing, the La Verne Police Department announced on Tuesday that Browner will be arraigned on attempted murder charges.

Browner, 33, last suited up in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints back in 2015. He was a Pro Bowler as a rookie in 2011 and helped lead New England to the Super Bowl title in 2014.
