There’s a good chance that the last time we see shortstop Manny Machado in a Baltimore Orioles uniform will be during Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star game in Washington.
Machado, 26, has long been bandied about as a trade possibility. Now that the July 31 deadline is exactly two weeks away, it’s looking more and more like Machado will be moved here within the next couple days.
It also now looks like the defending National League champion Los Angeles Dodges have emerged as clear favorites for his services. According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, that could primarily have to do with Los Angeles offering up top prospect Yusniel Diaz in a potential deal.

Diaz, 21, entered the season as Los Angeles No. 4 overall prospect. The Cuban outfielder is also coming off a two homer performance in the All-Star Futures Game.
Baltimore is said to be prioritizing pitching in any potential Machado trade, but Diaz might be too hard to pass up. He’s currently hitting .314 with six homers and 30 RBI at Double-A Tulsa.
