Colts GM: Andrew Luck is ‘good to go’ for training camp

Andrew Luck was a huge winner during NFL minicamps

The Indianapolis Colts will finally have franchise quarterback Andrew Luck back on the practice field once they open training camp in Grand Park next week.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard broke the news during a press conference on Friday, noting that Luck is “good to go” for camp.

Ballard did note that Luck will be taking some days off during the summer session. But when he’s on the field, there will be no limitations.

This is some rather huge news for Indianapolis. Luck, 28, missed all of the 2017 season after undergoing shoulder surgery. Over the course of the past year-plus, questions have been raised about his long-term prognosis. It seems that Indianapolis itself has pushed back a targeted return at pretty much every stop.

That ends now.

The No. 1 overall pick back in 2012, Luck led the Colts to 11 wins in each of his first three seasons as the team’s starter. Since then, this shoulder injury has threatened to derail a once-promising career.
