This is the very same diagnosis Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry received years ago. He made a valiant return to the NFL field as a Pro Bowl performer. As it relates to the 26-year-old Hal, he’s certainly ready to fight the disease.
“My faith in God and the support from my family, friends, teammates and coaches will see me through this difficult time,” the Vanderbilt product said in a statement. “I will not let this diagnosis stop me from fulfilling my dreams and I do not want anyone to feel sorry for me. I know how to beat this and I will beat it.”
Hal just signed a three-year, $15 million extension with the Texans last August. The organization is obviously going to do everything to help him through this difficult time.
Our thoughts go out to Hall as he prepares for the battle of his life.
