Broncos DC nearly passed out when Browns passed on Bradley Chubb

The Broncos lucked out after the Cleveland Browns passed on selecting defensive end Bradley Chubb with their fourth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Picking at No. 5, the Broncos made the obvious decision to select the elite-level pass rusher. And defensive coordinator Joe Woods couldn’t be any more thrilled.

Woods said he “nearly passed out” after the Browns decided to pick corner Denzel Ward over Chubb. Prior to the draft, linebacker Von Miller hyped up Chubb, calling him a combination of himself and Oakland Raiders pass rusher Khalil Mack.

Chubb will now work and learn from one of the best defenders in the league. He comes to the NFL after four seasons at North Carolina State in which the pass rusher recorded 198 tackles and 25 sacks.
