Just as New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick punishes for poor practices, he rewards for great ones.
Apparently Belichick was happy enough with his team’s efforts during their offseason workouts that he cut the OTAs short and sent the players home for the summer.
Patriots players were informed that today was their last day of practice until training camp. They were supposed to practice Thu and Fri, but they were sent home for the summer after a great minicamp.

It’s worth pointing out that quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski skipped all OTAs. The next time we will see them and the Patriots players in action will be in training camp later in July.
It is nice to know that Belichick recognizes fine work and hands out rewards for it. Getting sent home early is a heck of a lot better than having to run extra laps in the heat for turning out some sloppy practices.
