The Los Angeles Rams have built a star-studded defense, but All-Pro tackle Aaron Donald is still looking for the payday he deserves.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Donald has informed the Rams he will not attend Organized Team Activities (OTAs) as he waits for contract negotiations.

This news certainly didn’t catch Los Angeles off-guard, since Donald was expected to skip offseason workouts. Although head coach Sean McVay is optimistic about a long-term deal being completed, it’s a long process.
Especially since it’s Donald, the best defensive tackle in the NFL.
Per Spotrac, the Pitt product is due $6.9 million in 2018. While that’s a decent salary, Donald is worth Fletcher Cox-level money — meaning a $100 million contract. Donald is also looking for long-term security, considering this is the final year of his deal.
The Rams know what’s inevitable, but they’ll likely slow-play the situation and try to save any dollar possible. And soon, Donald will be a very wealthy man.
