It took the Houston Astros 55 years to win the first World Series in franchise history. Unveiling the banner didn’t take quite that long. Although for those on the team and those in attendance, it probably felt like it did.
A black curtain hung over the pennant before its unveiling. Removing the curtain proved much easier said than done.

We’re not entirely sure what the problem was. From the looks of things, the winds were definitely part of the issue.
Fortunately, the banner was eventually unveiled…mostly.
