Rumors swirling about that Tom Brady might in fact retire are nothing more than conjecture at this point. That doesn’t mean his New England Patriots won’t need to find an heir apparent to the future Hall of Fame signal caller.
Previously linked to both Lamar Jackson and Josh Rosen ahead of next week’s draft, the Patriots have reportedly been conducting other private workouts out of the purview of the public eye.
According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, that includes private workouts with former Washington State quarterback Luke Falk and Richmond productĀ Kyle Lauletta.
With an obvious need for a developmental QB behind Tom Brady, the #Patriots have quietly been conducting private workouts leading up to the draft. Among those on the list: Richmondās Kyle Lauletta and Washington Stateās Luke Falk, per sources. Both potential Day 2 picks.

Both are seen as likely Day 2 picks withĀ Lauletta himself gaining a ton of traction since a standout performance during the Senior Bowl.
Boasting a pick in each of the first two rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft, speculation has amped up that New England might look to move up on Day 1. Rosen himself is said to be a major target here.
If that doesn’t come to fruition, Falk and/orĀ Lauletta will likely be available when New England is on the clock in the second round.
