The Detroit Tigers are hosting the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday. While it’s a Major League game, the crowd more closely resembles something you might see at a high school game.
On the plus side, those in attendance have ample room to stretch out.

Certainly, the cold weather is a factor. Baseball is a sport mostly associated with warm weather in the late spring, summer, and early fall. Obviously, that weather has not found its way to Detroit.
This sight is certainly not a welcome one for MLB. It would be easy to pass this off as a cold weather game between two teams with little expectations. That’s true.
But sparse crowds (and that’s putting it nicely) have been an all too common sight at baseball games through the first three months of the year. Tuesday in Detroit is just another in an already long line.
