J.J. Watt: ‘Still got the passion’ despite multiple injuries

J.J. Watt

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt will be making his return this fall after playing in only eight games between 2016-17. Multiple injuries forced the four-time All-Pro off of the field and into the hospital, which is the last place any athlete wants to be.

Yet, Watt has not lost his love and passion for football. He is devoted to making himself and his team as good as they can all get.

Watt says if his love or passion for football ever goes away that “it will be done.” But right now, that day does not even seem close considering Watt’s positive remarks.

Watt says he is looking forward to getting back on the field with his teammates. The Texans look to come back stronger in 2018 with not only the healthy return of Watt, but also with the return of second-year quarterback Deshaun Watson. Watson also suffered a season-ending injury last year.

As for Watt, 2018 will mark his eighth year in the league. He was an original 11th-overall pick by Houston in 2011 and has 76 career sacks on record.
