Dennis Rodman on LiAngelo Ball: ‘He’s awful’

After less than a full season playing for Lithuania’s BC Prienai, LiAngelo Ball has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft. Soon, the younger Ball will be joining other draft prospects in looking to be selected during the annual event in June.

Some are split on whether the 19-year-old guard has the goods to make it in the NBA. He has impressed against junior competition overseas, but those around the NBA don’t feel that LiAngelo will be drafted at all.

Apparently, we can add Dennis Rodman to the list of naysayers.

“He’s not good at all,” Rodman said, via TMZ Sports. “He’s awful.” Well then, tell us how you really feel. In a vacuum, Rodman isn’t going away from the mainstream with this sentiment.

Pretty much everyone not named LaVar believes that his LiAngelo would have been better served spending a season or two at UCLA. Considering the competition in Lithuania, we don’t really have a way of analyzing how well Ball’s game translates to the NBA.

Then again, looking for Rodman to be the voice of reason isn’t necessarily the best of ideas. LiAngelo might have had his issues in China. But at least, he’s not palling around with North Korea’s leader.
