Former San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders pass rusher Aldon Smith just can’t stay out of jail. Smith was arrested last month for violating the terms of a protective order stemming from yet another arrest earlier in the year.

Smith has now been arrested once again. This time, authorities in San Francisco allege that the former first-round pick violated a condition of his bail. He’s now being held on $500,000 bond, per TMZ Sports.

“According to officials at the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, Smith allegedly violated a condition of his electronic monitoring … and that’s why he was arrested,” the report read.

The growing list of charges against Smith now includes three contempt of court charges as well as the original charges.

Having not suited up for an NFL team since 2015, it’s hard to imagine that Smith’s career will continue. The larger question at hand here is whether he’ll ever get his life together off the field.
