When it comes to analyzing the draft stock of South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert, there’s not a whole lot to be down about.
He comes from a small school, which may scare off some NFL scouts. But when we look at the skills shown off in his highlight reel, the positives far outweigh that one negative.
Goedert can get open in the red zone. When he’s covered, he’s someone that a quarterback can still depend on, even when the coverage is strong. As we also saw multiple times, Goedert can bring in a ball with only one hand. And when he does get the ball, he’s incredibly hard to bring down.
You may not have seen too many of Goedert’s games in college. But if your favorite NFL team lands the South Dakota State tight end on draft day, you should feel quite excited.
