Report: Redskins sign CB Orlando Scandrick to two-year, $10 million deal

The Washington Redskins have reportedly signed former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick to a two-year deal worth $10 million, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

This move essentially replaces Bashaud Breeland, who hit free agency this year after spending his first four seasons in Washington.

Scandrick recently requested his release in Dallas and was granted it after the Cowboys failed to find a trade partner. He has spent the past nine seasons with Dallas, starting 69 games since being selected in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft out of Boise State.

This signing keeps Scandrick in his familiar NFC East and allows him to compete against his former team twice a year.

Over the course of Scandrick’s NFL career, he’s tallied 399 tackles, eight interceptions, 64 pass break-ups, seven forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown.
