Report: Dolphins give Jarvis Landry permission to seek trade

Jarvis Landry

The entire Jarvis Landry situation in South Beach could soon come to an end. After a meeting between the wide receiver and Miami Dolphins earlier this week, it’s now becoming increasingly clear that Miami will trade Landry at some point soon.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Dolphins have given Landry and his reps permission to talk to other teams about a potential trade.

This comes on the heels of Miami placing the dreaded franchise tag on Landry last month. Though, it was almost immediately noted that said tag didn’t rule out a possible trade. With the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints among the teams said to be interested in Landry, it will be intriguing to see if something comes to fruition here soon.

A former second-round pick out of LSU, Landry put up an NFL-best 112 catches last year. He holds the league record for the most receptions for an NFL player in his first four seasons with 400. Needless to say, Landry will likely talk to a ton of teams now that he’s been given permission to seek a trade.
