Even with what seems to be a watered-down market for his services, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry continues to be bandied about in trades. This comes after the Dolphins placed the franchise tag on Landry and gave him permission to seek out potential trade options.
Now comes this report from John Mullin over at NBC Sports Chicago noting that the Dolphins are talking trade with the Chicago Bears. The reported discussions include Landry heading to Chicago with the 11th pick in the draft as well as a third-round selection in exchange for Pro Bowl running back Jordan Howard and the eighth pick.
Now that would be one blockbuster of a trade right there.
Mullin doesn’t get into further detail regarding whether discussions have reached a serious point. But with details available, it’s safe to say that something might happen here soon.
Landry led the NFL with 112 receptions last season and boasts a league record 400 catches in his first four NFL seasons. Meanwhile, Howard has put up nearly 2,900 total yards and 16 scores in two seasons.
