A small section of NFL viewers believe Lamar Jackson is a wide receiver because he’s too small to play quarterback. At the NFL Scouting Combine, the Louisville product checked in at near-identical measures to Cincinnati Bengals signal-caller Andy Dalton.
Jackson is 6-foot-2 and 216 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand, according to Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Media.
In 2011, Dalton’s combine measurements were 6-foot-2, 215 pounds and a 9.5-inch hand. Not only did the Bengals select him 35th overall, Dalton has served as the full-time starter for seven seasons and earned a $96 million contract along the way.
The notion that Jackson is too small to play quarterback was already a laughable notion, and this evidence only furthers it.
Well, unless the same people think Dalton should also be a receiver.
