Earlier on Thursday reports surfaced that the New York Giants had traded Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul and a fourth-round pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a third and fourth-round pick in next month’s draft.
It’s now offical, as the Giants announced the trade via their official website a bit later Thursday morning.

Interestingly, the press release didn’t include a mere thank you to JPP for his eight years with the Giants. Instead, it focused more on the specifics of the trade and Pierre-Paul’s numbers while in New York.
The move also gives Tampa Bay another pass rusher to go with the recently acquired Vinny Curry out on the edge. They’ll team up with Gerald McCoy to form a solid defensive line for the Buccaneers.
