The Oakland Raiders are well on their way to locking up Khalil Mack on a long-term contract extension, which has been one of the team’s top priorities for some time now. According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the team has offered the contract and that Mack’s representatives are looking it over now.

One of the true elite pass rushers in the game today, Mack was one of the lone standouts for the Raiders on the defensive side of the ball last year. He has tallied no less than 10.5 sacks in each of his last three seasons and has a total of 40.5 of them in his first four years as a professional.
Mack does more than just rack up sacks, too. He’s one of the best all-around edge defenders in the league and continues to evolve as a player, which is a frightening prospect for opposing offenses.
