The health of Aaron Rodgers will be one of the most important storylines of not only the Green Bay Packers’ offseason, but of the entire NFL’s. On Wednesday, Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy addressed his quarterback’s progress.
While McCarthy didn’t talk about Rodgers’ availability for the offseason program, he did note that the quarterback “looks good.”
Mike McCarthy said the medical report on Aaron Rodgers' recovery from his collarbone "looks good" so far. No details yet on whether Rodgers will be full go when the offseason program begins on April 16. https://t.co/0Ip1teg5gZ pic.twitter.com/6goNihwE90

Rodgers broke his collarbone in Green Bay’s Week 6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He underwent surgery, but returned for Week 15’s game against the Carolina Panthers. After that loss, Rodgers was placed on IR and missed the final two games of the season.
To the extent that there was any doubt about Rodgers’ value to the Packers prior to 2017, none existed afterwards. Green Bay missed the playoffs in 2017, after qualifying in each of the previous eight seasons. In 2017, the Packers were 4-3 in Rodgers’ starts, and 3-6 in the other games.
With that in mind, getting Rodgers back at 100 percent is a top priority in Green Bay, along with a contract extension.
