It’s no secret that Kirk Cousins is the belle of the ball heading into free agency this spring. He’s the top free agent quarterback hitting the market, and every quarterback-needy team wants him.
We’ve already seen Larry Fitzgerald make a pitch for Cousins to join him in the desert with the Arizona Cardinals. Von Miller has made multiple overtures, including what we suspect is a disingenuous profession of love for rainbows, to let Cousins know he’s the guy Denver needs.
Now Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas is getting in on the action. Responding to a really cute social media post Cousins shared Tuesday, Thomas launched into a Twitter proposal telling Cousins why Cleveland is the place to be.
I hear Cleveland is nice this time of year, that is, if you’d like to have a statue someday… https://t.co/Geo5CzvI5J

A fan got in on the action, too.
Kirk – you already have plenty of money; come to Cleveland and make history!

That’s when Thomas threw the hammer down to drive home a salient point.
You could make MORE money and MORE history in Cleveland than anywhere else, by FAR. Don’t just go and be another quarterback somewhere else! https://t.co/tVPqv8pdPB

Then, another fan chimed in, saying Denver is a more appealing destination.
One problem with this. If he goes to Denver he's got a two- year window before they draft a QB. If he goes to Cle, probably only a year before Darnold takes over.

Let’s just say, Thomas does not agree with this sentiment.
You couldn’t be more wrong, if Browns pay Kirk $30mm/yr, they won’t draft a QB in 1st round, they’ll use their picks to build the greatest offense of all time https://t.co/QeFok7wIY6

Greatest. Offense. Of. All. Time.
Shoot your shot, Joe Thomas.
If we’re being honest, Cleveland isn’t as far away from contending as many seem to think. Given their insane draft capital in the upcoming dog-and-pony show, along with the most cap space in the league, the Browns should be a very entertaining team to watch this upcoming season, provided John Dorsey and Co. can make intelligent decisions.
