There’s a good reason Pro Bowl running back DeMarco Murray didn’t suit up for the Tennessee Titans’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday.
Murray reportedly has a torn MCL.

That’s some shocking news given that Murray was questionable heading into the game. It also places more of an onus on Derrick Henry to put up large chunks of yardage in the AFC Divisional Playoffs against the New England Patriots next weekend.
The second-year back from Alabama put up 191 yards on 25 touches in Tennessee’s comeback 22-21 win over Kansas City in the first round of the playoffs.
Considering Murray’s injury is now said to be a torn MCL, it’s highly unlikely he’ll play against the Patriots next weekend. Already near two-touchdown underdogs, this will place the Titans even further behind the proverbial eight-ball heading into Gillette Stadium.
It’s also an indication that Murray might have very well played his final game as a member of the Titans. They seem fully prepared to move forward with Henry as their three-down back.
