WATCH: Rob Gronkowski refused to talk about suspension, walked out of press conference

Rob Gronkowski did not want to discuss his one-game suspension for the dirty hit he laid on Tre’Davious White of the Buffalo Bills two Sundays ago.

The New England Patriots tight end appeared at the podium Friday for his weekly press conference and absolutely refused to answer questions about it. In the end, after being asked if it was hard to watch the game and not be there for his teammates on Monday night Gronk just walked out.

When Gronkowski was asked at the start of the press conference if he had learned anything from being suspended, he said, “Definitely, definitely — learned about it. But not really here right now — big game Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. I’m just really putting my focus on them right now. Definitely learned from the mistake I made, for sure, a couple weeks ago, the last game I played in. But we got a huge game this Sunday. We got a huge game as a team this Sunday, so just putting all my focus into the Steelers this week,” per Doug Kyed of NESN.com.

When asked if he reached out to White to apologize for concussing him on a dirty play, Gronkowski replied, “I’m just focused on the Steelers.”

Without Gronkowski in the lineup, the Patriots were very ineffective on offense. Tom Brady had the worst game of his season, throwing two ugly interceptions, and the Dolphins won the game, 27-20.

No doubt it was hard for Gronkowski to know his actions the weekend before had something to do with the rough outing, but he’s obviously not going to talk about that.
