WATCH: Christian McCaffrey show early for Panthers against Packers

Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey during the NFL preseason

Carolina Panthers fans watching Christian McCaffrey rip the Green Bay Packers to shreds Sunday must be wondering why he doesn’t do this all the time. One of the most talented players to come into the NFL in years, the running back can literally do it all offensively but has had a sporadic impact due to poor scheme at times this season.

That wasn’t the case early at home against the Packers on Sunday. McCafrrey touched the ball nine times on the Panthers’ opening drive, going for 60 yards and capping it off with a gorgeous touchdown.

On that opening drive, McCaffrey ripped off five runs for 20 yards and caught four passes for 40 yards, with long plays of 20 and 10 yards through the air and on the ground, respectively. Green Bay had no answers for the rookie out Stanford, who’s a matchup nightmare.
