My, how quickly things can change. James Harrison was spotted in Boston Tuesday morning. Then it was reported he was visiting with the New England. And now, per ESPN’s Field Yates, he’s signing with the defending champs.

Harrison was barely used by the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. He appeared in just five games and made one sack all season long. He was a healthy scratch for many of the games, and he said he wished he would have signed with another team in hindsight.
Now he has his wish. The Patriots are banged up on defense and definitely need help rushing the passer. Though the team has 38 sacks this year, no single player has more than 6.5 to his credit.
Harrison is relatively fresh and could immediately contribute on obvious passing situations. And he could very well get a shot at revenge on his former team if the Patriots and Steelers meet up in the playoffs.
