In what could potentially be a monumental blow to their Super Bowl aspirations, MVP candidate Carson Wentz left the Philadelphia Eagles’ game against the Los Angeles Rams in the third quarter Sunday with a knee injury.
Wentz was almost immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game, which is most definitely not a good sign.
Now comes this report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter indicating that the Eagles fear Wentz suffered a torn left ACL.
Eagles are concerned QB Carson Wentz tore his left ACL, per source.

This would cost Wentz the remainder of the season and pretty much end the Eagles’ Super Bowl aspirations in the process.
If we take a gander at Wentz’s left knee after this one play in particular, it’s readily apparent that there was some structural damage to that part of the quarterback’s body.

There obviously won’t be confirmation regarding Wentz’s injury until further tests are conducted. But this has to be considered downright disastrous news for Philadelphia.
