Prior to the Week 17 game against the Arizona Cardinals, news broke that Pete Carroll could retire at the end of the season. But according to the Seattle Seahawks coach himself, the idea that he could retire is a bunch of hot air.

If Carroll is considering retiring after the season, Sunday’s game against Arizona could be his last on the sidelines. The Seahawks need to defeat the Cardinals and get help from the Carolina Panthers against the Atlanta Falcons to even make the playoffs.
Carroll is the oldest coach in the NFL. So, it certainly makes sense that he could retire after the season. But for now, that seems like it’s a long way from happening.
