The NFL world is abuzz about new San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Skill-wise and looks-wise, he is turning heads in a big way since landing in San Francisco. Garoppolo has shined enough that Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone likes what he sees.
This is what Marrone said about a player in Garoppolo who his Jaguars will face this week.
Doug Marrone just called Jimmy Garoppolo the hottest quarterback in football, hotter than even Bortles. Imagine hearing that sentence three months ago. Or like three weeks ago.

This comment can be taken in more than one way. But the main point here is that Marrone thinks Garoppolo is on an even hotter streak than his own quarterback, Blake Bortles.
The Jags head to Levi’s Stadium to face Garoppolo who is completing an average of 68.7 percent of his passes thus far. He is also averaging a healthy 336 passing yards per game.
Though, Bortles has not exactly been performing like chopped liver on the Jags’ side. In his past three games, he has completed 71.1 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions.
This is an under-the-radar good game for the Week 16 holiday slate around the NFL.
