It’s the circle of life. Byron Maxwell played for the Seattle Seahawks many moons ago before signing a monster free agency deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, who traded him to the Miami Dolphins, who released him earlier this year.
Now he’s back with the team that drafted in in the sixth round out of Clemson back in 2011.

Seattle is desperate for help at cornerback. Long-time lock-down specialist Richard Sherman is out for the year with a ruptured Achilles tendon, and the Seahawks were already razor thin at this critical position before he was injured last Thursday.
Maxwell knows Seattle’s system, which is still the same single-high safety scheme he cut his teeth on as a young player. He said a while back that the only reason he left was so he could rake in the cash.
Likely he’ll get into some action sooner, rather than later, for the NFC West team, which is still very much alive in the playoff race heading down the home stretch.
In six-plus seasons, Maxwell has tallied 182 tackles, 10 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
