After playing in two games for the New England Patriots, tight end Martellus Bennett’s season is over. According to Jim McBride of the Boston Globe, Bennett is being placed on injured reserve.

This is partly due to the same shoulder injury, along with a hamstring injury, that was the subject of so much chaos in Green Bay (more on that here).
Bennett was picked up by the Patriots after the Packers released Bennett for failing to disclose his shoulder injury before they signed him to a contract in free agency this past spring.
In two games with the Patriots, Bennett caught six passes for 53 yards. On the season, he caught 30 passes for 286 yards and no touchdowns.
