The NFL world was rocked by news on Thursday that star Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a torn ACL in practice. It’s devastating news for a young signal caller that was in the midst of a potentially history-making season.
Respected on the field, Watson has seen his popularity take off even more due to what has to be considered an altruistic mentality within the Houston community (more on that here).
Needless to say, other NFL players were impacted a great deal when news of Watson’s injury broke. Here are some of the wishes they sent his way on social media.
Minor setback for a major comeback.

Our thoughts are definitely with Watson as he embarks on what will be a long road back to the field. But based on the support he has from those around the football world, we’re darn sure he’ll ultimately come out stronger on the other end.
