Missouri QB Drew Lock sets SEC record for TD passes in a season

Missouri quarterback Drew Lock

Missouri quarterback Drew Lock has been one of the most underrated, least-talked about stars this year, but it’s time to change all of that. On Friday, well before halftime against Arkansas, Lock set a new SEC record with his 41st touchdown pass of the season.

Coming into the game, Lock already had 38 touchdowns on the books. After tossing two touchdowns early, he threw a beauty to Albert Okwuegbunam for 10 yards and the record-breaking score.

Lock, a junior, has NFL size at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds. He also has an NFL-caliber arm, as you can see by this throw.

Because he plays for a Missouri team that got trucked in the early part of the year to the tune of five straight losses, Lock hasn’t gotten a lot of national attention. But you can bet the men and women who evaluate talent at the NFL level are intrigued.
