A few hours after Auburn took it to Alabama in the 2017 Iron Bowl, 26-14, Tigers defensive lineman Dontavius Russell shaded his rival.

Ouch.
Though, in fairness to him, Russell and the Auburn defensive front did a fantastic job keeping Jalen Hurts from making too many plays in the passing game, applying pressure in generous proportions. The sophomore quarterback was running for his life most of the night on passing downs.
And in truth, the Tigers did make it look easy.
Taking down the No. 1 team in the nation, earning a trip to the SEC Championship Game and potentially a top-four ranking heading into championship weekend, they have reason to be happy.
