The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, already free falling this year, might be without starting quarterback Jameis Winston for quite a while.
Team general manager Jason Licht appeared on the team’s pre-game radio show Sunday and said Winston could be out an “extended period” of time.
#Bucs QB Jameis Winston could miss more than the next two games, GM Jason Licht said on the team's pre-game show. "…there is no time line on this. This may be an extended period'' of time. Licht added there is no new damage to Wisnton's shoulder.

Winston suffered a shoulder injury a few games back, missed most of the game against the Arizona Cardinals afterwards. He then played two weeks in a row before being injured again against the New Orleans Saints last weekend.
It had previously been reported that Winston could miss a couple of weeks. Now it appears he could be out quite a bit longer. If the Buccaneers continue to tumble down the standings, we wonder if Tampa Bay might consider leaving him out the rest of the season so he’s fully healthy in 2018.
Though, given the way Winston has played this year — one in which he was expected to take a big leap — we also wonder if the Bucs might be thinking long and hard about whether Winston is the man to build around in the years to come.
