Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill was once thought to be the long-term answer. Now, just four years after being drafted in the second round, the former LSU star is likely done in Cincinnati after being placed on IR heading into Week 10.
NEWS: #Bengals make the following roster moves:
-Place RB J. Hill on IR
-Waive K Marshall Koehn
-Sign S Brandon Wilson & DT Josh Tupou from practice squad

Hill was shelved due to an ankle injury that had hobbled him for a few weeks. He didn’t play in Week 9 and was unable to practice this past week before being placed on IR.
In addition to his injury, Hill was having the worst season of his career. A guy who has plowed his way into the end zone 30 times the past three years (29 on the ground and one through the air), Hill didn’t score a single touchdown in seven games this year. He also averaged a paltry 3.1 yards per attempt and was losing playing time to rookie Joe Mixon even before being injured.
Hill will be an unrestricted free agent next spring. Given his fall from grace in Cincinnati, which has a star in Mixon, it’s highly unlikely he’ll re-sign with the Bengals.
