One of the keys to the World Series for the Houston Astros was keeping Los Angeles Dodgers’ lead-off man Chris Taylor off the bases. Dallas Keuchel did that in the first inning of Game 1 — just not in the way he planned.

This was Keuchel’s first pitch of the game.
Between this and a 1-2-3 inning from Clayton Kershaw in the top of the first, it’s fair to say that the Dodgers got the start that they were looking for.
