Barring a setback in his recovery from a transverse process fracture, Derek Carr should be under center for the Oakland Raiders in Week 6 when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers.

Given the fact that Carr was practicing in the days leading up to Sunday’s loss at home to the Baltimore Ravens, this isn’t surprising. It’s been reported by many that his recovery time wouldn’t extend very long.
Just having Carr back in the lineup should boost Oakland’s offense. Though it must be noted that the Raiders were not exactly moving the ball at will against the Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins, even while the gunslinger was playing.
Coupled with what’s been a very disappointing effort from the team’s defense this year, Oakland will have its work cut out to get back to .500 this upcoming weekend at home against the Chargers.
