Ohio State is thoroughly thrashing Nebraska in Lincoln Saturday night. Things are so lopsided in the game, with the Buckeyes up 28-0 at the time of this writing, that Nebraska fans sarcastically celebrated the second first down of the game by the Cornhuskers by releasing balloons usually reserved for scores.
Seriously.
This is what it usually looks like when they score.
Balloons ready.🎈🎈🎈 The #9 team in the country is in town.

The balloons were all being prepared before the game.
One of the unique traditions at Nebraska is to release balloons the first time Huskers score. They’ll have more than 3,000 tonight. pic.twitter.com/GpNg3NHrak

Unfortunately, there weren’t any scores in sight during the first half. So after watching a miserable effort for the first 23 minutes or so of the game, the fans gave a sarcastic cheer for that ever-elusive second first down.

Wow. #huskers fans released the scoring balloons with 7:00 left in 2Q after a first down. First downs are Ohio State 18 Nebraska 2.
