Joe Thomas jokes Browns ‘better without me’ after team jumps ahead of Vikings early

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas

Joe Thomas is nothing if not a good sport. At home, recovering from season-ending triceps surgery, the All-Pro offensive tackle joked that his team is better off without him.

The Cleveland Browns had just jumped out to an early 6-0 lead following an interception against the Minnesota Vikings. Isaiah Crowell made the turnover count with a 26-yard touchdown.

That’s when Joe Thomas tweeted the following:

We love you, Joe. We love your optimism in the face of so many tough weeks the past 10-plus years. And we love the fact you’re so positive, even as you’re missing action for the first time in your career.

But let it be known: The Browns are not better off without Joe Thomas. Never will that be true.

Get well soon, big guy.
